Welcome to The Secret Garden Flower Shop.

The Secret Garden Flower Shop is an idependent florist in Market Drayton, creating flowers for all of life's special moments - from beautiful bouquets and weddings to thoughtful funeral flowers and seasonal designs.

How The Secret Garden Began

I've had quite a few chapters in my working life. I started out as a Registered Learning Disability Nurse, before leaving work to care for family members. Sadly, I later lost both my dad and my brother, and after such a difficult time in my life, I decided I needed a change. I went to work on a farm, which I absolutely loved and where I found a real connection with the outdoors, nature and the animals around me. Throughout all those different chapters of my life, one thing had always stayed the same: my absolute love of gardening, flowers and nature. I've always had a real love for animals and all creatures, big and small, and fell happiest when i'm surrounded by nature. I'd always dreamed of turning something I loved doing into my career, so I started growing more and more flowers at home. Before long, I took on an allotment too, giving me even more space to grow and experiment with flowers.

And this is where The Secret Garden began.....

I kept my allotment a little bit secret whilst I was getting it established. I quietly grew my flowers, watched everything develop and started experimenting with what I could create.

I started making Christmas wreaths which quickly became succesful. Then came my first Mother's Day creating bouquets. Little by little things grew from there. And that little secret garden eventually became The Secret Garden Flower Shop in Market Drayton.

Growing Something of My Own

One of the things I love most about being a florist is that every bouquet is different. I love choosing the flowers, putting different colours and textures together and seeing how each arrangement comes to life.

I also love the freedom of being able to work from home and having my own little flower business. There is something really special about creating something with my own hands and knowing it is going to make someone happy.

Pleasing my customers means so much to me. Whether it's a beautiful bouquet for a special occasions, flowers to say thank you, or something more personal, I love knowing that the flowers i've created have brought someone joy. The lovely reviews and feedback I recieve are incredibly rewarding and make all the hard work worthwhile.

And of course, I absolutely love flower shopping! There is nothing quite like choosing the flowers and foliage for upcoming orders and finding those special stems that I kmow will look beautiful in a bouquet.

I also absolutely love being involved in the local community through flowers. I enjoy running competitions and giveaways on Facebook and seeing the excitement they create. Being able to support local charity events by donating flower vouchers is something that means a lot to me too. It's lovely to know that my little flower shop can give something back and support good causes in the community.

For me, The Secret Garden is about much more than flowers. Its about people, creativity, nature and being part of the community around me.

Flowers for Every Occasions

From the beginning, I've loved creating flowers for all sorts of occsions. Every order is different, and I enjoy getting to know what each customer is looking for and creating something that feels personal to them.

From colourful bouquets and thoughtful funeral tributes to wedding flowers, seasonal arrangements and Christmas wreaths, I love the variety that floristry brings.

I'm always learning, trying new ideas and looking for beautiful flowers and foliage to work with. I never quite know what the next order will bring - and that's part of what I love about it!
